Good Morning... well it's a nice wet morning here in Calgary! For some reason it feels like winter here in the office. Not because it's cold, but more because it's so dang dark out. It's a little depressing... oh well~!

So now that my PC is home from the hospital with a new NB fan I noticed that the NB fan isn't even working~! Grrrrr... so replacing it, did nothing!

 

Well my evening was spent packing and at Second Cup will Allison when she got off work. It was a pleasant and relaxing evening... yes it was! I ended my evening by watching "Big Brother 6". Oh yeaaah, it's getting interesting. So James and Sarah are up on the chopping block and guess who won the power of veto. Mr. James... he was right when he said he didn't win the Veto based on strategy but more on stupid decisions of the other house guests. Anyways, I'm hoping Evette goes home. I think things could get interesting with James and Sarah still in the house. I sure hope Kaysar get's voted back into the house. "What up Kaysar?"....

 

Anyways, i'm out... now get yo butt to work~! NOW!

Ohhh glorious morning.... I heard back from my maaaaan, Raymond from memory express. Ok... so... I'm not sure I should admit this to the world... I inserted the stick of ram backwards. There I said it, I didn't know you could do that... If it snaps into the 2 notches on the bottom and clips in on the sides it's gravy to me... but no... so apparently I was imagining the burning smell, because nothing was fried, not even the ram! yeah... weird... thanks Raymond from Memory Express. so for 2 hours of labour and 1 North Bridge fan.... *drumroll* a bill of $110.00 + tax. Meh... not bad... after picking up my pC I didnt' even plug her back in yet. Yeah, that's what I said... she's still sitting on my desk waiting for me. Don't worry hun, I'll be home a little later tonight to play.

 

Uh huh... so what else can I tell ya... well there's isn't much else. So... let's count down the number of days until the weekend and... oh yeah... did I mention that when we wrote the deal for our home our original possession date was August 1st. And now it looks like we'll be lucky to move in before October. *sigh*... How dissappointing, but life goes on I guess.

Yaaaaaaaaawwn..... well that concludes another good weekend~! Absolutely no PC action for me this weekend... I still havent heard from those guys over at memory express... Grrr.... I poked my head in on Saturday morning to see if they had even cracked my PC open yet... They hadn't... I dropped it off Wednesday night and they hadn't cracked her open by Saturday morning... well I guess that's not that bad... but since I stopped in Saturday I havent heard back from them... It's monday now... hopefully they call. All I need to know is what components I need to replace... so that I can buy the parts and replace them. Geebers...

 

Well it was good not having any access to a PC this weekend... I kept busy by doing other things... Saturday Allison and I went and bought me some sandals for Mexico.. yaaay... then we took her mom and her mom's boyfriend out to "Jubilations" dinner theatre. They were playing "Batman and the boy-blunder"... hehe... it was pretty good. As usual I got picked on, and they made Cal and I come up on to the stage to dance... yup.. picture my shiny bald head trying to do a bat dance in front of dozens of strangers... Greeeat~! *sarchasm intended* The only parts that really bugged me was when the "Dancing guy" dressed as a jester came and grabbed my head and the slightly rude server. But I think she was playing her role.. I'm not really sure what that is... I think she was supposed to be a snotty uptight guest of Bruce Dwayne. Note to those out there... DO NOT EVER... and I mean EVER. DO NO EVER TOUCH MY HEAD~! I don't want your greasy hands palming my scalp.  Got it?! Good!

 

Sunday... after Allison got off work we had dinner at Tony Roma's, you know that place that's famous for ribs, courtesy of Alli's pops! Mmmm... my first time eating ribs was pretty darn good... but man the prices are steep~!

 

Alright... well it's Monday and time to get to work... so as the saying goes....

It's FRIDAAAAAY~! Well last night was my first night in quite a while with no computer~! I felt naked... it's strange to not hear the humming of the little guy~!... So instead I wrote a letter to a friend... yes i said "Wrote" as in hand written. I didn't know I could still write with my hands, but it turns out it's just like riding a bike. Then I hung out with my homeboy "Stevie the TV". Together we watched the news, then the Simpsons, then that 70's show, followed by seinfeld and the last half hour of an ABC primetime special on kids in some strange prison. Then... 9pm .... *drumroll* BIG BROTHER~! Well Kaysar got voted off... dangit! But then big brother announced a new twist. Either Kaysar, Eric of Michael will be re-entering the Big Brother House. All you have to do is vote at www.CBS.com ... I haven't done it yet, but make sure you do... yes YOU~!

 

And in other news... I'm hoping to hear from Memory express about my pC today~! Hopefully I get good news, but I'm expecting to hear the worst. Well we'll see what happens... could end up being a lonely friday night with no pC.... *sigh* hehe...

 

I'm such a gEEk... Have a great weekend~!

Well... last night I attempted to install my new stick of 512 mb ram into one of my pc's. *sigh*.... Long story short.... Either my motherboard, cpu or video card is fried.... in the words of Napoleon Dynamite... "Dang..." Yeah... i'm said! My poor baby.... *sniff*... I can't believe I'm so attached to my PC. But I am....

 

As soon as it happened I took it to the hospital... *memory express that is...* and like other hospitals I had to wait in line... *Damn Service desk... I mean you guys... goood... very Much... so... Mo Happy service guy with!* Ok so I had to leave my poor baby for observation for a couple of days. *sigh*... the service guy really caught me offguard when he asked me for my windows password... *waaaaA?* I'm having a hardware issue, why do you need access to my windows account. mO personal journal there... don't touch! Reluctantly I gave it up, I didn't want to argue with one of the doctors who was going to take care of my baby...

 

I sure hope it's just my mother board. My video card was about 300 bucks, my p4 2.8ghZ with hyperthreading was close to 300 when i bought it 2 years ago. I guess it might be time for an upgrade... Now's probably a good time to start shopping for a part time job... unless anyone wants to donate money! anyone? anyone..? how about you over there... oh fine...
