Things My Daughter Has Taught Me About Growth

My daughter has taught me so many great things about how to grow this year.

  1. When you get knocked off your feet, it’s ok to stick your thumb in your mouth or even cry a little bit. As long as you think about what just happened and try again.
  2. When things seem impossible, keep trying! If you continue to try your best everyday, you’ll eventually roll over.
  3. Sometimes when you just cant seem to stand up on your own two feet, it’s ok to ask for help!
  4. Be consistent, and demand that from those around you! So if you want your bottle at the same time every night, make sure you get it.
  5. Be heard! If you aren’t getting what you want out of life, ask for exactly what you want.
  6. Laugh! Sometimes making faces is funny… Learn to find things that bring you happiness, rather then simple pleasure.
  7. Talk while you eat! Dinner time is a great opportunity to have conversations with those you care about. Find out what happened in their day, daily!
  8. Talk to your teddy bear! Learn to take time each day to reflect and think…
  9. Talk to strangers! I don’t suggest you make baby sounds or grab at peoples faces, but you have no idea what you might have in common with the person sitting next to you on the bus.
  10. Smile! You have no idea how much happiness a smile can bring to someone else’s heart!
